If you can't find blogs & wikis in the "+ Select" dropdown list, here's how you make them appear:

Go to Control Panel > Manage Tools (under Course Options) > Content Type Availability. Then check the blogs & wikis items, in fact just check all the items listed and save.

You should see the blogs & wikis listed when you go back to the "+ Select" dropdown list.

Quizzes in OLIVE are among the most heavily used teaching-learning activities. These are typically meant for students to self-check their understanding and the students can do the quizzes at their own pace.
